Demand

With the business pushing through the winter, and the Schedule keeping me busy every single day, I find wanting more time to spend with my family. I have been working on the Current client schedule, my inventions, and always spending a lot of time and twice as much mental energy on chasing what I feel is a game changer. I'll sit up all night drawing on an illustrator program inventions and the adrenaline of its possibilities keeps me awake. When there is to much on my plate , (which I have put there!) I start to become unable to process the little important things like what my wife is thinking. What games my kids want to play, when I am so busy working on trying to make a big lump sum to help us all. I actually lose track of what the true essentials of each and every day holds for me. I am a dreamer !!( why not) And if there is anyone who works as many hours as I do,  I'm sure you will not fail. You will always get up and always prove your good at whatever you do. So I understand it is difficult to slow down to shut off your internal drivers but you must teach yourself to shut down the train in your mind before the collision.. Stop every now and again and be OK with where you are what you have and breath. Everything other than my daily work is all on hold this week I'm just coming home from work and enjoying my family. Well also coaching junior minors baseball twice a week can't not help the kids. This season  Dominic is on the Reds and Daniel is on the Tee Ball Mariners.
Mason just runs around with his mitt on. Good times.

Enjoying my work.!!

Now that the holidays are over the work has begun. We are currently staining a large maple cabinet project. (NOT THE PICTURE ABOVE) This project was attempted by a local contractor and he had failed miserably. His attempt at shading the existing frames and doors turned into a nightmare for my new clients. They had to purchase new doors and drawer fronts. We have our work cut out for us but so far the doors are looking amazing. I really enjoy this work so much. I am so thankful to all my clients for giving me all of these amazing projects that are all challenging but so fun!!! And thank god for helping me guiding me to this trade and craft giving me the artistic ability to be creative.

So When I was delivering the couch I decided to unload for a quick picture. Of course the blue wall was OK but the fire hydrant. Love it!!

Respect the craft!

Taking on the carousel horse. Its a real pleasure to be able to perform my talents on this amazing Carousel horse, the amazing the wood carving work that has been done on this horse all finished by hand tools.. We named him Spartacus. He is an amazing warrior horse with so much character.  I have not only had to completely strip and sand him, we then have had to re carve all the intricate lines of detail. Patch all the old damage from thousands of kids enjoying the ride and rebuild the fine details the original carver added when he envisioned him. I am thankful to restore such a beautiful piece of art and history. Here is just a snap shot of the amount of attention he is getting from me. And my son Daniel is super happy to hang with Spartacus Too.
